We know that East Portland hasn’t always had a seat at the table when City leaders were making decisions about where to invest our dollars. That’s why it’s so important to me that D1 perspectives and voices are included in the discussions we’re having around our next budget for Financial Year 2026-2027. I’ve launched my District 1 Budget Surveyto hear from you: what’s working well in your neighborhood, and what’s not? Where do you want to see more investments?
The City is facing another significant budget shortfall in FY 26-27, which means that many of our services and programs will likely see their funding cut. Your feedback will help me better understand what I need to fight for and protect in the budget process.
Candace Call to Action: Take my District 1 Budget Survey by March 13, 2026. The survey should take about 15 minutes to complete. Your responses are anonymous unless you choose to provide your contact information. By providing your contact information, you will be entered into a drawing to win a $100 grocery gift card. Forward this to 10 other people you know in District 1 to ensure their voices are included, too!
