The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) is making safety improvements to help people get around busy Outer SE Powell Boulevard more safely. Planned safety improvements will reduce both the frequency and severity of crashes and help vehicles, pedestrians, transit, transit users and bicyclists share the road with fewer conflicts. Construction is underway and is anticipated to last five years. The construction crew is working on temporary widening of the road to accommodate pedestrian travel during construction of new sidewalks, bike lanes and other safety improvements. This summer crews will work on the waterline replacement.
