Applications for the East Portland TIF District Working Groups (aka Community Leadership Committees, or CLCs) are now open, and open houses in each district are offered for community members and potential applicants from all three districts to learn more.
Each district-specific committee’s purpose is to advise PHB and Prosper Portland staff, the Portland City Council, and the Prosper Portland Board of Commissioners on the creation and implementation of TIF District Action Plans. The intention is for these CLCs to “co-create” the TIFs. Each CLC will include 13 members, who will be supported by PHB and Prosper Portland staff. As there are three districts, a total of 39 community members will serve in these important roles.
“We are seeking a diverse array of candidates for these committees, from all backgrounds and walks of life,” said PHB Director Helmi A. Hisserich. “If you live, work, play, or study in East Portland, and want to help guide investments in your community, we encourage you to apply.”
