Tips for getting started on a bike

Check out our Checklist for getting started on a bike to learn more about how to prepare for your ride. We’ll also answer any questions you have about getting around by bike during the ride!

Are you bike-curious or don’t have a bike you can use? There are still options for you to participate in the ride:

  • Consider riding with BIKETOWN—Portland’s easy, affordable, and super-fun way to get around. Just hop on one of their e-bikes and be on your way. Check the BIKETOWN map for station locations around town.
  • Consider renting a bike or purchasing a bike from one of Portland’s bike shops.
